How To Be a Super Person

WE sometimes experience the sensation or perception that we are super men (women). But, it is true, nonetheless that if a person does this continually and with premeditation he/she will more often come to that conclusion. What is it? Finishing action cycles once started. And, collaterally not starting action cycles without due regard to one’s ability to finish them. A well-known poet penned this phrase in a well- known song: “One should not be where one does not belong.” Taken a step further:

“One should not start major cycles that they know or suspect they will not be able to finish."

As an example of the above, personally, I recently came upon several “lost items” and immediately reflected on how it came about. Listen...I packed all my possessions and whatnots to relocate to another city in September ‘17. After unpacking gradually, day by day, I came to an impasse as to where I had packed my laptop power unit, and my headphones. I searched high and low for days, FOR DAYS. I revisited every place in between my new home and old. I petitioned the moving van rental manager to look for them in the vehicle I rented for moving. NOTHING turned up. Finally, I was forced to give in and buy an expensive replacement for the power pack and, forego the headphones completely.

Where were they when found? In a box of 6X9 envelopes. Half the envelopes had been taken out gradually and used. There was enough room for the power pack and headphones, in a rush, not to lose them by letting them go in the van loosely. And that was not, my friends, the first time this phenomenon has occurred to me, which is why I write to you about it.

And, as far as completing cycles of action? I would not have found them for who knows how many more months if I hadn’t harked upon a cycle of action that was incomplete in order to complete it!
